Summary
Semaglutide is a long-acting GLP-1 receptor agonist consisting of a 31-residue backbone with an aminoisobutyric acid substitution and a C18 fatty diacid side chain conjugated through a linker. It is one of the most analytically demanding molecules in this catalogue.
The side chain conjugation is where lots differ most. Unacylated backbone, over-acylated species and linker-only adducts all appear in material that reports high reversed-phase purity, so we require a full impurity table rather than a single figure.
Typical related substances
Typical related substances are the unacylated backbone, di-acylated species, linker hydrolysis products and des-amino variants.
