Summary
BPC-157 is a synthetic fifteen-residue sequence derived from a fragment of human gastric juice protein. It is a short, straightforward synthesis, which is why quoted prices per gram sit well below most therapeutic peptides and why content and purity vary so much across the market.
Because the synthesis is cheap, the cost difference between a well-purified lot and a poorly purified one is small in absolute terms but large as a fraction of the price. Peptide content is the figure most often absent from the quotes we see.
